5.    A written statement received from local ward member, Councillor Damien Saunders, objecting to the application was read to the Committee by the Chairman.

6.    The Case Officer advised members that the description of the proposed development had been amended as a result of removing the garages.

Councillor D Anthony proposed that the Officer’s recommendation to grant conditional permission be approved, including an additional condition requiring  further details to be submitted for the proposed parking and an informative which highlighted that as the mature hedge located along the flank boundary with the neighbouring property, 34 Woodside Avenue, was not included within the site, provisions should be made to ensure that there would be no damage or harm caused to the mature hedge throughout the construction process. This proposal was seconded by Councillor D Smith and agreed at a vote.

RESOLVED that conditional permission be granted subject to the conditions and informatives set out in the report along with the additional condition regarding parking details and informative on the protection of the mature hedge along the flank boundary.
